Class Elections

This month in Social Studies we are studying government. While learning about the executive branch, 4th grade also held Presidential and Vice-presidential elections. Students wrote campaign speeches and made a poster that included their slogan. They also had to campaigne amongst each other before they gave their speech to ensure getting more votes. Finally, the class voted by secret ballot for their new president and vice-president. Congratulations to our new President Isadora Macedo and Vice-President Jaymie Franco! Also, students taking part in the legislative branch have been elected as Senators and House of Representatives members. Our bill writers also tried to get their classroom bill passed through Congress and made into a law.
