Yummy Vocabulary
Last month was filled with catching-up and study-time for midterm finals. Behold, all things are new -including a whole new quarter. Though we have yet to experiment with recipes, we have been learning vocabulary that both cause our mouths to water (such as BBQ chicken, seafood, and rice) and cause us to grimace with foods like carrots, lima beans, and mussels. We’re also finding differences in what to cut, slice, peel, carve, grate, boil, fry, and eat! This month we learn formalities and manners as we demonstrate kindness while telling people what to do, and compare the informal and formal ways in doing so within context. Don’t forget – labeling items will help you increase in learning and remembering the vocabulary words.
Let us continue learning together,
Mrs. Jean-Pierre
