Korea

We have continued studying China and other countries in East Asia. We learned about Chiang Kai Shek and Mao Zedong as they struggled for control after WWII, and how Kai Shek had to flee to Taiwan after Communism gained control of mainland China. We also studied Korea, and how it split into North and South. A student brought in a coat he had found from the Korean War, and shared what he knew about the war with the class.
