“Tongxue-men hao!”
I am pleased to introduce Beginner Mandarin elective class this year. We are going to learn some basic conversations (greetings, introducing yourself, and friends), and to learn how to read and write simple Chinese characters, numbers (1-1000), days, months, week, and birthdays. A group activity will be taking place such as: practicing conversation with your partners, introducing your family to your classmates, and singing songs in Chinese. Not only that, but we will be watching a biography of Gladys Aylward movie, and learn some facts from China Today every week. Always remember the three nuggets for learning a new language: set a side a few minutes every day to memorize new words, repeat-repeat-repeat, and find a friend to practice if you can not practice by yourself.
