In our reading class our second graders have learned to distinguish the difference between urban and rural places through the story of Iris and Walter. Iris, a young city girl, went to live in the country with her grandpa. To the kids’ surprise this young lady found the country boring until she met Walter who showed her what a fun place the country can be. Iris loved Walter’s tree house.
