The sophomores just finished their last section on the Cold War and Post World War II, the students were very excited to finally be finished with Mr. Fowler’s note packets. Due to the close proximity in time between what we are studying and the time we live in now, the students were able to discuss and see how they are a part of history. We discussed issues such as the environment (global warming) and terrorism (impact of 9/11) and how the students saw the impact of those things on their lives. Now as the school year comes to a close we are in review mode as the students prepare for their first Social Studies regents. The students have been practicing both their essays and test taking skills during class and extra credit sessions after school. I have confidence they will do well this June.
