This week in Social Studies, 4L is studying New York in the early 1900’s and the famous inventions that came about at that time. The class was amazed at the inventions that were foundational to the technologies that we use today such as the typewriter, Kodak cameras, and plastic (celluloid) that came out at that time. We also learned about inventions that we still use frequently today, such as the electric and longer lasting light bulb, Pyrex dishware, and thankfully…the air conditioner!
