Bones
The hip bone connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone connected to the leg bone well you get the idea. In our Science lab we had to make a ball joint using a paper towel roll, rubber bands, a rubber ball and pipe cleaners and balloons. They had to make sure their joints had flexibility if it wasn’t done correctly the ball would pop right out to the joint. We learned the importance of having parts of the body that bend.

Merry Christmas
Besides rehearsing for our yearly Christmas program, which was a great success, we have been studying in Bible about the first Christmas. Every day we speak about a new character and retell the nativity story in their point of view. We have also had the chance to make different types of crafts. Our last days were all full of fun. We played games, watched movies and made art work. Merry Christmas to all from KT.

Snowmen
In December we studied the letter S, therefore Kindergarten students were given the chance to create their own snowman as a project. They all enjoyed doing this project and all the snowmen are displayed on our bulletin board.

Boxes of Love
During Fall Spirit Week, November15-19, MS and HS students participated in a canned food drive as part of their class competitions. Students were excited at the opportunity to win points for their class while helping needy families. In all, we collected 130 cans and were able to help feed 30 families for the holidays. We are extremely happy with the results and very proud of our students for focusing on the value of giving.
Working with the color wheel
Each middle school student created a complementary color geometric study – that is, they used opposite colors and straight-line only shapes, experimenting with the many tints and shades of red and green, which are opposite colors on the color wheel. They also prepared for the Christmas season by making homemade, decorated Christmas cards out of construction paper, miniature templates, markers and glitter.

Gingerbread Houses
Our Christmas Snack Party was a blast. We had a fruit basket, a vegetable platter, cupcakes and cookies. Thank you to all the parents who sent items in. We ended off our year by having one of our parents come in to make Gingerbread Houses with our class. The kids really had lots of fun putting the house together. I think some were more indulgent than others, in that they ate almost everything so there was hardly anything to put on their houses. We say thank you to Mrs. Barrett for doing this project with us.

Wonderful Joy
Our Middle School students shined as they presented “Wonerful Joy.” Students worked hard on beautiful poems that displayed the true meaning of Christmas. They shared songs, dances, writings and dramas that demonstrated the wonderful joy that was given to us through Jesus Christ. Every part of the production was meaningful and really gave the audience a new presepective on what “Wonderful Joy” really means.

God is good
Prayer has become such an integral part of our day and 2nd Grade has seen the goodness of God in their lives. Not only have they seen and heard God answer their prayers, but they are learning to trust God in spite of what may happen.

Green Meadows Farm
Second Grade went on our first trip to Green Meadows Farm. It was so much fun. The kids really enjoyed going out to the farm and looking at all the animals. The highlight of our trip was making a candle made out of bees wax and also learning about the life of the bees. We loved it!
