Seniors have been working with growth and decay functions. They have calculated how fast their money grows and the depreciation on a new car. We finished our topic with an M&M lab in which the students generated the data for their own growth and decay functions. When they were done they happily ate all their manipulatives.

In 3rd grade we read, “What’s Wrong with Timmy?” by Maria Shriver. This was a special book that we read in their classroom when I visited them for one of our library periods. This book is great because it teaches our kids to be more compassionate to those that have special needs. It teaches them to not feel awkward around persons with disabilities because they are just like any one of us.

2B has been reading devotionals and many different types of Christian literature. I love how this class loves to read about the Lord. They like it when we read a little book titled “Devotions for Bedtime.” That is one of their favorites. We also read another one titled, “What God says about Self Control.” It gives me a great opportunity to counsel and speak to them through the word of God, and they enjoy that.

1C read the book, “If You Give A Cat A Cupcake,” They colored a picture of the cat featured in this book and some beautiful cupcakes. This was a special treat for them and they really enjoyed themselves.
We also read the book, “Easter” by Gail Gibbons, which gave us a great opportunity to talk about this very special event that is coming up.

KV has continues to read books that emphasize their letter of the week. For this month we read, “How do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?” by Jane Yolen. They also colored dinosaurs which are outside the library’s bulletin board. They did a really great job. This was also a great opportunity to speak about the fear they face when going to the doctor’s office and how it is necessary for them to follow the doctor’s instructions to “Get Well Soon.”

Our preschoolers have been reading about God’s amazing wisdom and all the beautiful things that He created for all of us to enjoy. We read “God Thought Of It First,” which tells us about the greatest inventor ever, God. We learned about the inventions that man has created and how God thought of them first. For example the baby carrier that a parent straps on to carry their child resembles God’s invention for the Kangaroo who carries her baby in her pouch. It is amazing to see how Awesome our God is!

Pre-K 4 participated in the Academic Fair. We did interviews with a famous person from WECS TV!! These interviews can now be seen in Pre-K 4’s Hall of Fame outside our classroom. Some children made a project called, “When I was a baby, I liked to…”. We saw many pictures of some of us when we were little babies. They did a great job. We also worked on transportation, and the children chose a method of transportation, and where they would go on a trip.
We continue to pray for our class, our friends and families. We are looking foreward to our class trip. Where will we go? Find out in April!!

We just can’t stop learning about all of the wonderful things Jesus has done. He raised Lazarus from the dead, healed a paralyzed man, and changed the hearts of Zacchaeus and Nicodemus. We also learned about the Easter Story and how awesome Jesus is
. Some of our new favorite songs include: Jesus’ Love Is A Bubblin’ Over, Jesus Watches Over You, and a song about David and Goliath. We love singing!
