The sixth graders have just finished the Unit about our constantly changing Earth, where they focused on volcanoes. We are now moving on to the continuity of life, where we will study reproduction and heredity. Students will get to discover what exactly makes us look the way we do, and how our traits are inherited.

We did a project in Bible class where the students wrote down things they wanted to see changed in their own lives. We took the requests and put them in an envelope for them to receive at the end of the school year. This will allow them to see if there has been any growth or change from now to end of the school year, and also for students to see the powerful effects of prayer!
God Bless,
Ms. Ramos
This week 10th grade will be discussing the Beatitude “Blessed Are The Pure In Heart”. We are learning that the only way we can attain righteousness, is by faith in Jesus Christ. My challenge for the students is to pursue purity through looking into the word, receiving daily cleansing of sin, and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in their lives.
Ms. Ramos
We had the opportunity to share in chapel one of our favorite bible stories, Joseph and his Colorful coat. Kindergarten had a great time preparing and, is thankful to the parents who came to chapel to show their support.

Kindergarten has been memorizing bible verses during their bible time. KV has memorized 7 memory verses already!

This Month K-V has been exploring the human body in science. Students in Kindergarten are very excited to see the functions and workings of God’s wonderful creation, their body.

This month KV has been focusing on making words and sentences to create our own stories. The students are excited to become authors and illustrators of their own creative writing. They have been using words made from the letters we have learned in combination with sight words. It is exciting to see their hard work come together through their writing samples.
K-V is excited to be learning different bible stories in class. We have learned about creation, Adam and Eve, Noah, Jacob and Esau, Abraham and Sarah. We have also been memorizing memory verses already! During our Bible review time it is always exciting to see our kindergarten friends become actors and actresses and make skits about our Bible stories.
This week in Science we are exploring the concept of how minerals form on cave walls. We engaged in a fun lab that involved making a solution out of minerals. We then observed, how over a period of a week, as the water dissolved, it left behind the original mineral in a “crystal” form. Totally cool!!!!
This week in Math we are learning all about remainders. We are realizing that a lot of times when we divide something, we can do a lot with what we have left over (besides throwing it away). We can break it up into fractions (like with a cookie), we can exchange it for coins (like when we work with money), and much more!
