Learning the guitar

The 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Music classes are not only progressing in tuning their guitar, but are also improving in switching from one chord to another. As they learn these techniques, which get easier with consistent practice, they are also slowly playing through songs. The songs we have been focusing on include: Forever, by Chris Tomlin; As The Deer; Your Grace Is Enough; and You Are My All In All. Check it out at WorshipArchive.com!

Extra work pays off

Students worked really hard with partners on the salsa routines that middle school preformed. They even stayed afterschool to work on it and practice. They did a fantastic job.

Extra Work

The students worked hard learning different types of dances with partners. The song they danced to was God is Good. It was a little challenging as it used hip hop with salsa moves, but they learned it. The students practiced during lunch time and during their gym time.

Blood

Some people get queasy with the sight of blood. 7th grade made blood. We took some beads and designated the beads with a part from the blood stream and mixed the beads together to show the same consistency as a doctor would find in the blood.

Talk, talk, talk

Wow 7th graders are talkers, and this is a great time to discuss the communication and control centers of the human body. We get to learn about the many forms of communication both externally and the internal processes that go into helping us communicate with those around us.

Life Science!

We learned about body organization last month and this month we are stepping up on the ladder of knowledge. We get to learn about circulation and respiration. The body needs certain levels of oxygen, and it also needs to get rid of wastes. This month we learned about both.

Cells or Organs

I am Hanz! And I am Franz! During January the 7th grade learned about different body systems and organization of the body. What comes first the cell or the organ? Well cells form tissues and tissues for organs so the cell would have to come first… or would it?

Life Science!

We have been learning about classifying organisms. How does one species compare with another species? The domain Eukarya consists of 4 different species. Those species are Protista, Fungi, Plantea, and Animalia.
