This year in art has been great for the kids. Pre-K 3 & 4 learned about one of their favorite authors Dr. Seuss. They created Thing 1 and Thing 2 out of their hands and also the mustache from the “Lorax”. They also had fun learning to make puffy paint out of shaving cream and glue.

OUR BUGS ARE HATCHING OUT OF THERE COCOONS AND OUR ANTS ARE DIGGING TUNNELS. AS SCIENTIST, WE ARE
OBSERVING LADYBUGS, BUTTERFLIES AND ANTS, AND THEIR CHANGES. NEXT WE WILL JOURNAL WHAT WE HAVE OBSERVED.
AT THE END OF OUR JOURNAL WE WILL LET OUR BUTTERFLIES AND LADYBUGS GO FREE INTO THEIR REAL HABITATS. ONE OF
THE THINGS PRE K 4 LEARNED IS THAT WE ARE A LOT LIKE THE BUTTERFLIES WERE BORN, WE EAT LEARN AND GROW
THEN AFTER SOME TIME WE BECOME ADULTS.

The Parachute Game
The highlight of the year in gym was the parachute game. Bean bag frogs and turtles were placed on the parachute and the students shake it. Students then say how many are left and what color they landed on. They loved it.

For our graduation trip we went to Chuck E Cheese. Playing tag in the jungle gym at Chuck E Cheese – who was it but Mrs. Emestica! What a great job Pre K-4 class of 2014 has done in learning, playing , growing best of all Congratulations on your graduation you did it I am so proud of you!

Let Them Go
It hard to believe that another year has gone by so quickly. This year has been a great year with all our endeavors. The last few months were a blast. We got to grow plants and see lady bugs and caterpillars grow and change then see them fly away into their habitat.

The students in elementary enjoyed learning about music this year in its entirety . They learned how to cooperate with each other for when we had to move/dance to certain music. They have learned different aspect of music from the tempos in Italian to how to fine tune their social and motor skills.

Beautiful Butterflies
What an awesome year. We have learned so much in what seems now to be a little time. Pre K to Kindergarten has learned the power of the Lord’s creation by learning the stages of a butterfly.

End of Year Fun
We have been busy as bees in Pre K 4, from our graduation trip to Chuck E Cheese to our end of the year Surf is up Luau party. We had so much fun playing musical chairs, hula hooping and most importantly we had a special guest from Hawaii that taught us how to Hula dance and tell a story at the same time. Finally we had our Pre K-4 graduation which was amazing, everyone looked so fancy with their special dress up clothes and did a fantastic job. Congrats to Pre K-4 class of 2013 have a great summer you have earn it!

Show and Tell
Letters and Sound Presentations, in other words show and tell. Each week we have a day that each child can show and tell about something special that they bring from home that has the beginning letter and sound of the week This week we are on the letter J and the children brought in a jump rope, jewelry, picture of the jungle, a jaguar toy and a joke. When one student told a joke all the other children began to laugh and each one had a turn.

Monster-Talk
This was a fun lesson as the students learned about syllables. Each one clapped out their name count how many syllables are in their names. The fun part about it is that we made funny monster sounds then put it together to make a complete word. This was a great lesson to teach reading readiness.
